Kogsy Check-In

Start with one free call. Hear exactly what your parent will hear.

One friendly sample check-in, on us. Then a short call to your parent every day, and a plain text to you after. A simple monthly plan, cancel any time. If the first week isn't right, you get a full refund.

Hear how a Kogsy call sounds

Text message from Kogsy: All clear, spoke at 9:04 for 12 minutes, cheerful, talked about the garden. Your note. A link to the family page follows.

The text that lands after each call. Shown with demo data, not a real family.

What you get

One honest text a day

After each call you get a short text: when they spoke, for how long, how your parent sounded, and what they talked about. Not just "call completed."

The link opens the family page. No app to install, no password, nothing for you to learn either.

Is this for you

Different families use it differently

Kogsy is a daily check-in call service for seniors in the United States: one short phone call a day, usually five or six minutes, then a plain text summary to the family. Start with one free sample call, then a simple monthly plan. Cancel any time.

Most of the time it's an aging parent. Sometimes it's a grandmother, an aunt, an older neighbor, or anyone else you check in on. The setup is the same.

  • A quick daily check-in so you know they're okay.
  • A gentle nudge in conversation, like talking through their day or whether they have eaten.
  • A daily summary that tells you if something sounded off, so you can follow up.
  • Peace of mind between your own visits and calls.
  • A familiar voice for a parent who lives alone.
Honest answers

The questions people ask me first

Will my parent actually pick up and talk to it?

Most do, because it's a normal phone call to their own phone, not an app or a device. It calls at a time you both pick. You'll hear in the demo how natural it sounds.

What happens if they don't answer?

If a call doesn't connect, I'm notified and I follow up with you, so you can decide what to do. I'd rather catch a missed call myself than have you trusting an alert no one is watching. A missed day also shows plainly on the family page, marked as no answer, never smoothed over.

Is this medical care or monitoring?

No. Kogsy is not medical care, not a diagnosis, and not an alarm system. It's a daily check-in call that gives you a plain summary. If you want medical help, that's still your doctor or emergency services.

Does my parent have to agree?

Yes. You set it up, but your parent agrees themselves on the first call, after Kogsy explains it is an automated voice. If your parent does not agree, the calls do not continue.

How much does it cost?

Start with one free sample call. After that, a simple monthly plan. No long commitment, and you can cancel any time.

Can I try it before I subscribe?

Yes. You can hear a free sample call yourself right now: get a one-time code, call our line, and listen to the same check-in Kogsy makes. Want your parent to hear it? Put them on the line. No card, no sign-up.

Is the sample call really free?

Yes. One free sample call per household, and no card. You get a one-time code and call our line yourself, so you hear exactly what your parent would hear.

What happens after the sample call?

Nothing, unless you want it to. You decide whether to start the daily calls. A card is only needed when the daily calls start, never for the sample.

What if it isn't right for us?

If the first week of daily calls isn't right, you get a full refund. After that you can cancel any time.

The family page

Tap the link, see the story so far

The link in each text opens a simple page: today's call at the top, and the days before it underneath. If a call ever goes unanswered, that day is marked plainly. I would rather show you an honest gap than a polished streak.

You can also leave a note for tomorrow's call. Write "ask her about the garden" and Kogsy brings it up, then shows you it was used.

The Kogsy family page for a parent named Margaret: today's all-clear summary, a box to leave a note for tomorrow's call, and a day-by-day history in which one day is marked no answer.

The family page behind the link. Demo data, including an honest no-answer day.

About

Who's behind this

I'm Henrik. Before Kogsy I worked in emergency medical services as an EMT, then in non-emergency medical transport and UN medical escort work. I know the gap between 'I called Mom on Sunday' and actually knowing how she's doing day to day. Kogsy lives in that gap, between the visits. That's all it tries to do, and it tries to do it well.

How it works

Three steps. That's it.

1

You tell Kogsy who to call and when. Takes a few minutes.

2

Kogsy calls your parent each day for a short, friendly chat.

3

You get a short summary after each call.

Text message from Kogsy: Margaret has asked Kogsy to pause the daily updates, so this is the last one for now. The daily calls continue unchanged. If anything needs your attention, a human will still contact you directly.

The message you get if your parent pauses the updates.

Consent

Your parent can say stop, any time

Your parent agrees on the first call, and stays in charge after it. If they ask Kogsy to pause the daily updates, the updates pause, and you get one plain message telling you so.

The calls themselves carry on, and if anything ever needs your attention, a human still contacts you directly.

More questions

If you want to know more

What language are the calls in?

English. The voice is fluent, calm, and friendly.

How do you handle privacy?

At the start of the first call, Kogsy tells your parent the voice is automated and asks them to agree to the call and to recording before anything is kept. Recordings are encrypted and used only to create the daily summary. Recordings and transcripts are kept for 90 to 180 days and then deleted; the same schedule applies after you cancel. Basic call records, like when a call happened and how long it lasted, are kept for up to 6 years for legal and billing reasons. This is set out in our privacy notice.

How do I cancel?

Cancel any time, in your account or by emailing henrik@kogsy.care. It takes effect at the end of your current month. No retention questionnaire, no awkwardness.
